Piling Secondary Subtropical Forest Residue: Long-Term Impacts on Soil, Trees, and Weeds

چکیده
The objective of this study was to evaluate the long-term effects piling secondary forest residue (after 3 decades) on soil chemical properties, growth, and nutrition Pinus taeda weeds at three locations. After removal piling, areas were cultivated with P. (22 years), followed by eucalyptus (7 returned taeda. At 2 years age, tree height needle-nutrient levels ongoing from influenced outside zone evaluated. Biomass nutrient herbaceous shrub weeds, NDVI indices (via a drone), chemistry also Residue-piled displayed decrease in pH an increase available P K. Although shrub-weed biomass increased 2.5 10 times residue-piling areas, did not compromise pine growth. While had little impact nutritional status values indicated greater plant growth areas. In general, effect important factor associated large variation weed incidence after decades.

Long-term tillage and residue management effect on soil compaction and nitrate leaching in a Typic Haploxerert soil
A field experiment was conducted to compare the effects of long-term tillage and cropresidue management on some physical properties and nitrate leaching of a Typic Haploxerertsoil under winter wheat (Triticum vulgare L.)-soybean (Glycine max L.) double-croppingsystem. The tillage systems consisted of conventional tillage with stubble (CT1), conventionaltillage with stubbles burned (CT2), heavy ...

Long-term impacts of logging on forest diversity in Madagascar.
Ecological perturbations can either be necessary for maintaining tropical forest diversity or responsible for its decline, depending on the scale, nature, and frequency of the disturbance. Anthropogenic disturbances such as logging and subsistence agriculture may promote the establishment of nonnative, invasive plant species, potentially affecting forest structure and diversity even long after ...
متن کاملVariations of Soil Microbial Community Structures Beneath Broadleaved Forest Trees in Temperate and Subtropical Climate Zones
Global warming has shifted climate zones poleward or upward. However, understanding the responses and mechanism of microbial community structure and functions relevant to natural climate zone succession is challenged by the high complexity of microbial communities. Here, we examined soil microbial community in three broadleaved forests located in the Wulu Mountain (WLM, temperate climate), Funi...
متن کاملAnalyzing Impacts of FACTS Devices in Dealing with Short-Term and Long-Term Wind Turbine Faults
More than one hundred countries are using wind energy due to their easy implementation, cheap energy, and high energy efficiency. Implementation of FACTS devices in Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) has been dramatically improved due to cooperative and accurate performance of FACTS devices. However, dealing with wind turbine faults promptly is crucial. Short-term and long-term faults may ha...
